South Carolina Striped Bass Fishing

Striped Bass Fishing in South Carolina.

South Carolina and Georgia now have a lake that will be dedicated to producing trophy striped bass. The SC Governor signed into law an act that will establish Lake Russell as a managed trophy striped bass fishery with a 2-fish creel limit only one of which can be longer than 34-inches.

This sets the stage for Lake Russell to be managed by both SC and GA Department of Natural Resources to be able to continue to produce trophy striped bass well into the future.

The SC State record Striped Bass came out of Lake Russell last year and weighed over 63-pounds.
